SEARCH YT VIDEOS ON IPAD, copy source code, test

In the Koder code editor app you have created two files ytvideo-search.html and ytvideo-play.html. You also can test the file tvideo-play.html in previous post.

In this post, you can try the file ytvideo-search.html.

Please complete following steps:

1. Obtain your own YouTube API Key.
   See: https://smashballoon.com/doc/youtube-api-key/
   and https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/getting-started
   Or googling "How to get a YouTube API Key" for more instructions.
2. Install Koder code editor app to your ipad.
   
   
3. Copy source code for two files:
   
   1. ytvideo-search.html (5 KB, without help text)
   2. ytvideo-play.html (25 KB)
   To do that, open my posts:

   and tap COPY button to copy code.
   
4. Open Koder app, tap the button + in the left bottom corner to create a new file, give it the name ytvideo-search.html

NOTE: You don't see the button SAVE in Koder app, this app automatically saves anything you type!
If you make any mistake while typing, you need to immediately press undo key on the ipad keyboard.
In Koder for ipad you can:
- Select a line, sentence, or text block: Touch and hold the first word in the block, then drag the handle (small circle) to the last word. To select more precisely, drag slowly.
- Select all text of a file (html or js file) by taping on "paper" (do not type on words). Sometimes you have to tap several times until you see the menu with the option Select All.
- In Koder you also can rename or delete file. For more details see:

5. Tap on the name of file to open the file ytvideo-search and paste the code there then paste your API key
6. Tap on Run button (image of an eye) to open ytvideo-search.html in the Koder's inner browser.
   For example: search for Paul Mauriat; tap button SEARCH; wait;
   In the results you will see:
   
   
   
   Under the button COPY you see a text area.
   Tap button COPY to select all this textarea and copy this selection to clipboard.
7. Tap the button QUIT (x) in the right top corner to quit the running file ytvideo-search.html. Tap the button + to create new file with the name objpage-paul-mauriat.js
8. Open this new empty file and paste there the contains from clipboard
   
   
   
   NOTE: do not open file objpage- ...js in Koder app because it is of very big size (from 0.4 MB to 1 MB); Koder app will work slowly or even crashs.
   However by using the file ytvideo-play.html you still can easily view the contains of those files.


9. In Koder open the file objppageAll.js
   Add the name of the file just created by yourself
   objpageAll = [
   'objpage-franck-pourcel.js',
   'objpage-paul-mauriat.js'
   ];
10. Now you can open the file ytvideo-play.html to watch all videos that you have found by using the file ytvideo-search.html.
